What is e-Science? We believe a good definition of e-Science has been given by Professor Malcolm Atkinson, e-Science Envoy, School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, namely
"The term "e-Science" denotes the systematic development of research methods that exploit advanced computational thinking"

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)

Being built in the Saudi city of Thuwal, the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is designed by HOK architects and Saudi Aramco. The KAUST covering 9,000 acres area to accommodate 20,000 people once complete.

Aiming at creating a luxurious academic venue rather than the stuffy old world approach, there will even be a golf course, beach club, sports centre (although notably only the men will get an outdoor swimming pool) and land set aside for residential development that will eventually turn the university into a fully functioning town.

Heilongjiang Science and Technology Museum (HSTM)

Heilongjiang Science and Technology Museum (HSTM) was started its construction in April 2001 and completed in April 2003. It was officially opened to the society in August 2003. Heilongjiang Science and Technology Museum is sited in the Science and Technology Zone of Harbin Sun Island.The land area occupied is 50000 square meters. The ordinary exhibition area is 12000 square meters and the temporary exhibition area is 1500 square meters out of the total building area of 25000 square meters.Heilongjiang Science and Technology Museum is a social education-disseminating institution to develop science popularization exhibit.
